Gym bag swag – Khushbu Thadani

Gym bag swag

Last week I went on a mission: to find a new gym bag.  The one I had been using was some cloth bag I picked up from Forever 21 a year ago.   It was tearing at the sides and overflowing with items I haven’t used in over 6 months i.e. goggles, swim cap, overly-creased Runners’ World magazine from July 2011, and other clutter.  In other words my old gym bag was begging to be thrown away:

My only requirement for my new gym bag was that it be monsoon-proof.  More specifically, the bag had to be waterproof and contain a zip so that my belongings wouldn’t get soaked during my walk to the gym.  Thank you, Nike Store on Colaba Causeway for solving my first world problem:

Not too shabby

Filling up my new bag felt like sorting out my pencil case before the first day of school: I made sure everything I put in was in tip-top condition and vowed to keep it that way.  Fortunately my bag still shows no sign of clutter and only contains my gym essentials:

Trainers, socks, towel, money, keys, weight lifting gloves, training log, pouch, business cards, water bottle, umbrella, iTouch & phone

Just for the record, apparently a “true lady” never reveals her age, weight, and what’s inside her purse.  Does the same go for gym bags?

What’s in your gym bag?
