Enlighten me… – Khushbu Thadani

Enlighten me…

For the sake of honesty, I’m just going to put it out there: I. Never. Forget. To. Eat. ..Ever! Tell me, I’m not  alone with this?  I’m not even going to pretend that breakfast isn’t one of the first things on my mind when I roll out of bed in the morning. Heck, the mere thought of a bowl of oats is what gets me out of bed most mornings.  I’m convinced it has something to do with my genes. Although they may try and deny it, I come from a family that is slightly food-obsessed. In a good way though. Even before we get a chance to finish eating lunch, my mom’s already one step ahead and asking what we want for dinner. I may skip a meal, but trust me that’s nothing due to lack of remembering. Any foregone meal is definitely a conscious decision e.g. I’m feeling nauseous and the thought of food makes me feel queasy. Or I might be in the middle of something and so will postpone a meal. But trust me that meal is on my mind regardless.

So those who do occasionally ‘forget’ to eat, enlighten me: when/how do you forget to eat a meal? Or more so, what reminds you to eat? Maybe I’m the nutcase here, and not you. Or maybe not… 😀
